State of Happiness

It was 6:03pm, I had left work only 5 minutes earlier but already had forgotten anything that had happened there. At that moment i stepped into the Halifax Fourm. Pre-season was just under an hour away for my hometown Mooseheads and the smell of a new hockey season was in the air. There is love for the game and then there is what myself and about 20 others have. Of those 20 about a dozen of them are season ticket holders for the bottom of section 14 at the Metro Center. Yes, we have our own little group LOL. Last night was a reunion of sorts. After 3 months of summer and hockey break last night we all gathered at the old Fourm to cheer on the youngsters on the ice. Some of which won't in the end even make the team. For now all are Mooseheads though and recieve the same amount of support as a 4 year vet. We sat in the uncomfortable, too small seats and we acted as though it was a Game 7 in the final, yelling, cheering, getting upset at times when certain players *cough cough LOMANNO cough cough* had a bad shift. I'm pretty sure the ref (who knows me well and not in a good way) woke up this morning took some tylynol and starting sending out warning emails to the other refs in the league with pictures of myself and Nathan included with a headline reading 'NOOO THEY ARE BACK!!!' HAHA. I know I'm not the only one with a sore throat this morning but just can't wait til next tuesday for the next home game. Just a few days ago i was feeling insanely burnt out and thankfully hockey is back to help ease the load. Nothing relaxes me or makes me happy like a good game of hockey. I know not everyone understands that and honestly i can't even explain it. I'm lucky I have my 'group' at the rink, means i'm not alone in my craziness. Anyways must get ready for work everyone.

oh and by the way the Herd won in a shootout 5-4.....Yeti! Yeti! Yeti!
